Brenda grew up in the Pacific Northwest and began her career in accounting at the Washington State Higher Education Coordinating Board [now known as the Washington Student achievement Council].  She transitioned into program management, working with Student Financial Aid and student support programs.  She then moved to the Office of Secretary of State and helped administer the Help America Vote Act and serving as Accounting Supervisor.  

In 2013 she relocated to Southern California and focused on private sector accounting, working as a bookkeeper in San Diego.  She then moved to the Inland Empire, serving as Staff Accountant for a private security company, and Community Finance Manager on Camp Pendleton Marine Base. 

After enjoying the sunshine, beaches, and hiking for ten years, Brenda moved back to the PNW in 2023 to be closer to family.  She now enjoys swimming and camping with her grandchildren, sewing and crocheting homemade gifts for friends and family, and finding any reason to be outdoors.
